The retail business has changed and is constantly transforming into a more technologically-focused business and companies that embrace these new technologies are reaping the rewards, while traditional ways of doing things are being exposed as inadequate. They simply don’t cut the mustard in today’s world.
One area which has come under scrutiny is workforce management. Having an effective workforce management (WFM) system is no longer seen by savvy retail businesses as an optional extra. Retail businesses are increasingly coming to see it as a necessary tool to save money and increase efficiencies.
In a sector with notoriously tight margins and high staff turnover, new technologies and digital processes are being embraced as a way to help businesses keep a tight control on costs, boost profit and enhance their position in the market.
