Health Stores Ireland/New Natural Business Retailer Awards 2023

Let’s face it, Ireland knows how to throw a party. And health food retailers in the Emerald Isle will have something to celebrate come January 29th. Health Stores Ireland has relaunched its annual retailer awards for 2023 in partnership with New Natural Business when retailers will be eligible for awards in six categories. There’ll be a winner and two finalist awards in each category.

The awards will be presented at a special retailer and trade partner gathering to be held in Shannon, County Clare on January 29th under the banner ‘Putting Our Best Foot Forward’.

Online applications for retailers are now open with a December 15th deadline. Judging will be by an independent panel with finalists and overall winners announced and presented at the event.

Says Health Stores Ireland President Gerald Colfer: “After an unhealthy two-year break from in-person gatherings, it’s with great joy and some optimism that we can announce the relaunch of our annual awards. This is a great opportunity for resilient and innovative retailers within our sector to step-up and receive deserved recognition.”

National Organiser Alan McGrath is appealing for all independent retailers to engage and submit their entries on time. The online application portal is being shared with eligible retailers via Health Stores Ireland’s usual communication channels and is accessible on the members’ platforms.

“Apart from each individual award on offer, there’s a hugely important sectoral story to be told,” he says. “The awards help us build a convincing narrative to demonstrate our strengths and uniqueness. It’s a timely opportunity to celebrate the collective success of our sector.”

The big bash

The awards will be presented at the Health Stores Ireland Retailer & Trade Gathering in Shannon, County Clare on Sunday January 29th 2023.

The venue is Treacys Oakwood Hotel which is just two miles from Shannon Airport with special corporate room rates and a host of great things to see and do locally for those extending their stay.

Other Awards to be presented include Special Recognition for Service to Retail, Special Recognition for Service to the Industry, the Pat Curran Award for Excellence in Service and certificates for Health Food Institute training successes.
